Scatterbrain

or get it at

"On Scatterbrain, McIntire addresses the ups and downs of a working comic's life. The bulk of the album is all laughs -- solid material on everything from having kids to the war on terror, killer stuff from one of Boston's most reliable comedy veterans -- but it's the bonus track, the one labeled "Nagasaki," that's getting the most attention. The nearly half-hour track is nothing short of a complete hell gig..."

Nick Zaino
The Boston Globe

"If Tim set out to reveal more about himself and be vulnerable on his new CD, Scatterbrain, he succeeded. He pulls off the delicate trick of turning inward without losing his persona. He is still The Reverend. Now, rather than pointing the finger at others, he's pointing it at himself. Instead of looking at obscure news stories and making them universal, he takes something universal, the birth of a child, and makes it his...It's smart and fearless. Mr. Hicks, this is Mr. Cosby."

Too Much LiveJournal

I started following links from the LiveJournal Customers Suck community, and it's starting to warp my perceptions. Will someone please reassure me that I'm not completely surrounded by wiccans, furries, and anime fanboys?

Also: what the fuck?

Test Post...

Good Show This Weekend

I will be headlining the show at The Riverside Theatre Works in Hyde Park this Sunday night, and I'd love for everyone to come down. There's a terrific lineup, and all proceeds go to CARE in order to help victims of the tsunami (I'm assuming y'all know which one). Call 617 361 7024 for more info, and tickets are 15 bones.

Also, there's a bar there. So if helping out victims of a natural disaster doesn't get you out, maybe getting shitfaced AND helping out victims of a natural disaster will.

Show Notice

Looks like I'll be at the Comedy Studio tonight to tape a few Red Sox jokes for submission to Major League Baseball. 8:00 showtime.

Queer Eye, What Have You Done?

Another thing I never thought I'd hear myself say:

"Sorry I'm late, honey, but Express was having a great sale!"

The Glamor of Showbiz

This says it all about Saturday's show in Beverly.

Chelmsford this weekend is cancelled. The club closed after like 3 weeks. I wish to Jesus I had a time machine so I could go back to 1986 and see what is was like to be a comedian before the bottom dropped out.

Le sigh.

Jon Rogers On Writing

I like to think that a lot of different kinds of people stop by to read this site, but I know that in reality, it's pretty much just other comics and writers. If I were you guys, I would make sure I hopped over to Jon Rogers' blog, where he's posted the first in a series of articles about the nuts and bolts of being a professional screenwriter.

Thank You

A quick note of thanks to everyone who bought a CD at Saturday's show in North Andover; I just sent all the dough ($100.00) to Doctors Without Borders, to help out with their relief efforts.

If anyone orders a CD from this site in the month of January, I'll donate that money to tsunami relief as well.
